I grew up in a small mid-west town where I learned to love family, friendship, and just being outside. I attended Northern Illinois University and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts focusing my studies in 2D/3D animation, video art, sound, data visualization and interactivity. I then continued on to earn a second degree at The Digital Animation and Visual Effects School. While there I worked as a teacher in their film compositing course while continuing my studies in animation and visual effects.

Now, I live with my wife Sarah and our two sons at our home here in Southern California. I have spent the last 10+ years of work helping to visualize and create digital cameras and animation for feature films, television, video games, and commercials.

My love of photography has only grown with my family, career, and time here in Southern California. I cherish watching my two boys begin to grow, appreciate, and explore the natural wonders we venture to see as a family. It continues to inspire me daily to grow, change, and challenge myself in new ways. And photographing the wonder of a friend, a family, a child, or the world around us all has felt exciting and new. To capture a moment and tell an entire story in just a single frame…
